Aeroderm™ is a PEGylated recombinant human IL-4 variant that is a potent inhibitor of both the IL-4 and IL-13 receptors. Aeroderm™ is formulated for the treatment of atopic eczema.

• 14 kDa IL-4 variant
• Non-glycosylated
• Aeroderm™ binds tightly to IL4Ra receptor subunit
• Two amino acid substitutions repel IL-2Rg receptor subunit
• Aeroderm™ inhibits assembly of IL-4 and IL-13 receptor complexes thereby
  preventing signaling through JAK/STAT

• Phase I in 100 patients completed with no significant adverse events using a non-PEGylated form of the molecule (AER 001)
• Phase IIa was performed in 24 patients with atopic eczema using a non-PEGylated form of the molecule (AER 001)
• Future studies will be in severe atopic eczema patients using the PEGylated form (AER 003)
